Toners are mostly used for acneic skin where they help in healing, soothing, calming and balancing the skin. Essential oils such as olive oil when added to the facial toners have additional benefits and are very effective. 1- Apple Cidar Vinegar Toner:

Ingredients:

  • Apple Cidar Vinegar – 2 tbsp
  • Fresh Water – 4 tbsp

Method:

This toner can be made by taking 2 table spoon of apple cider vinegar and 4 table spoons of fresh distilled water. Mix them in a bottle with 1:2 ratio. Shake the bottle well before use and use cotton ball to apply on your skin. Prevent it from the eyes and sensitive areas of the body. Leave it for a few minutes to get moisturized your skin. This can be refrigerated or even store at normal room temperature for further use. It has many advantages such as it maintains the pH of the skin, dissolves and removes dead skin, evens the facial tone and complexion and lightens the acne marks and scars.

2- Lemon Facial Toner:

Ingredients:

  • Lemon Juice – 1/4 tbsp
  • Witch Hazel – 1/3 cup
  • Fresh Water – 1/2 cup
  • Rubbing Alcohol – 2 tbsp

Method:

DIY lemon facial toner can be made by taking one-fourth of fresh lemon juice, one-third cup of witch hazel, half cup of water and 2 tbsp of rubbing alcohol. Mix all these ingredients and pour them into a air tight bottle. Apply freely on the face by using cotton pad or cotton ball. Apply in circular motion in the morning and night. It can be saved at a room temperature or kept in a refrigerator for further use. It removes extra oil from skin, eliminates pimples and gives an even skin tone.

3- Tea Tree Oil Facial Toner:

Ingredients:

  • Fresh Water – 1/2 cup
  • Glycerine – 2 tbsp
  • Tea Tree Oil – 15 drops

Method:

Take half cup of fresh filtered water, 2 table spoon of glycerine and 15 drops pure tea tree oil. Mix them thoroughly by using a stirrer. Pour them in a air tight jar or bottle. Use cotton ball or cotton pad to apply it on your face. Let it be on your face for few minutes. Then wash with lukewarm water. It will help to absorb excess oil and give an even skin complexion.

4- Green Tea Facial Toner:

Ingredients:

  • Green Tea – 6 ounces
  • Lemon Juice – 2 tbsp
  • Vegetable Glycerine – 2 tbsp
  • Fresh Water – 1 cup
  • Chamomile Flowers – 2 (Optional)

Method:

Take 6 ounces of fresh green tea, 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice, 2 tbsp vegetable glycerine and a cup of fresh water. Mix them all in a bowl or container. You can also add 2 dried chamomile flowers. Make a homogenized mixture of all these ingredients. Apply it on the face by spraying the cotton pad or cotton ball. It helps to heal the scars and marks. Keep it there for some minutes and then wash with fresh water. Preserve it in a refrigerator for reuse.
